Voilà le Vélo atelier is a hidden gem in the heart of Bologna. An intimate and sensual place situated in the mezzanine of a historical building, precisely via Nazario Sauro 2, Bologna, near Piazza Maggiore.

OUR STORY

Voilà le Vélo is an independent lingerie atelier born in London in 2012, when Founder Francesca Dallamotta became determined to create lingerie that was fresher, more playful and more understated than what was available on the high street. Lingerie that felt, “more flirty than dirty.”

in 2017 Voilà le Vélo moved to Bologna, Italy, and in 2019 opened its first atelier in the center of the town.

Today Voilà le Vélo is selling regularly on-line all over the world and directly in its Bologna Atelier.

OUR MISSION

Built on a strong belief in craftsmanship and sustainability, Voilà le Vélo lingerie combines elegant traditional styles and techniques with modern minimalist cuts.

In order to maintain our high-quality and sustainability standards, Voilà le Vélo business is built upon a small-scale production model. Which means we don’t keep large stock and we produce the right quantity needed for the orders that we receive. Each and every piece is designed by Francesca herself, then handmade in our Bologna atelier.

Thread, fabric and frills: A typical day at Voilà le Vélo. Voilà le Vélo is a small atelier in East London, we threaded its first needle in 2012. Every piece is designed and made by Francesca, the owner, using only the very best locally sourced fabrics and trimmings. Our collections range from the sweet and cute to the flirty with a wink of naughty. Francesca believes in doing things the old fashion way, that’s why every piece of Voilà le Vélo combines retro designs and techniques with modern cuts and styles.
